Welcome to DennisJohnston.net!
Thank you for visiting my website. After about a year of research and consideration, I made the
decision to attend Centriq Training in Leawood, KS. I have had an interest in computers for several
years that consisted mainly of hardware and maintenance of my personal devices. After speaking to friends
that are developers and taking the assessment test at Centriq Training, I knew application development
was going to be my future.
After seven months of driving back and forth from Topeka to Kansas City four days a week, working
full-time during the day and taking class in the evening from 6pm to 10pm, graduation of the program has been
achieved. To any employers viewing my website, my resume is available at the Resume page. What I lack
in experience, I make up in a tenacious work ethic, excellent communication skills, and always wanting
to learn attitude. After school one of my first goals is to study and pass the Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) for
Web Development Fundamentals test. During the time of looking for employment with a company as a developer,
I am available for personal or small businesses that would like a website built. If you already have
a website and would like it to make it more fluid and mobile responsive, I can do that also
If you are or know somebody that is interested please send me an email on my website.
Please feel free to browse around my website. In the projects page, I have linked sites that were
created during class as a lab on my own. Two of the projects were completed at the end of the developer
program, Ticket Support Tracker (TST) and Student & Schedule Administration Tool (SAT). The instuctor
acted as a project manager giving minimum requirements where class time was given to work on the project.
Resources used consisted of using text books, classmates, prior examples from classes, the internet and
the project manager. Check out the projects page for more information.
